Mastering the Message: Companies That Get Communication Right
Kendamil
First up, Kendamil. I first learned about Kendamil while doom-scrolling on Instagram one night. I was watching reals when one of their ads popped up. Naturally, I am turned off by ads because oftentimes, they are distracting and usually for a product I am not interested in. Except this time, it was like a blessing. We went through a lot of trial and error finding the right formula to feed our daughter when my breastfeeding journey came to an end. We found that the well-known brands, the ones the hospital hands out like candy, did not work with our daughter. I decided to further investigate Kendamil and started scrolling through their feed. Right off the bat, I loved their aesthetics and how visually appealing everything looked. They're successful because they have mastered the art of teaching you something of value but also making it fun and interesting. They also post real-time updates, like when the ports closed and the shelves were empty nationwide. That was scary as during that time, formula was all my daughter was taking, and having to scramble to find another brand that would provide all the benefits Kendamil did would be hard. Right away, they jumped on Instagram Stories to provide their users with updates on when to expect restocks and how long it would take to get everything back on track. Overall, I was also happy with their messaging and customer transparency.
Necessaire
Necessaire is another brand that just does it right. They are incredibly visually appealing and just make you feel "clean" by looking at their ads. Similar to Kendamil above, they also use Instagram as one of their main platforms to deliver their message. Not only are their products amazing, but their posts are not too shabby either. I started following them when I wanted to find cleaner, less toxic shampoo and conditioners but then was infatuated with the rest of their products. While they do use influencers to promote their products, the ads don't feel inauthentic. You feel like the people raving about the products actually use and love them. With or without the influencer's help, I would still buy their products because of the quality.
